Kathryn A. Porter operates her own law firm in Miami Beach, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 2000. While in law school, Ms. Porter focused her studies on intellectual property law and corporate law. She earned a Book Award in legal drafting for her outstanding writing abilities.

Ms. Porter's firm focuses on trademarks, copyrights, music, film, technology, and business law. She has extensive experience in reviewing, negotiating, and writing entertainment contracts, employment contracts, and licensing agreements. She helps clients in all stages of business -- from creating corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships to protecting and exploiting intellectual property rights. Before starting her firm, Ms. Porter served as general counsel for Endymion Corporation where she gained experience in internet and computer law matters.

Ms. Porter is a member of the Florida Bar's Entertainment Arts and Sports Law section and the Business Law section. She is active in the community and serves on the InternetCoast's Legal Committee. She also volunteers her services as a pro bono attorney for Put Something Back. Ms. Porter has presented seminars and spoken on panels about trademarks, copyrights, and music law.

Prior to law school, Ms. Porter worked as a teacher for Miami-Dade County Public Schools after graduating from Florida International University in 1991. She also holds a Master's degree in education from Barry University.
